AMA-GB holds three events each year, in Autumn/Winter, Spring and Summer. We also work with other organisations in staging events. Members are involved individually or together in projects that further the aims of the organisation, both in Great Britain and abroad. Supporting GP Education in Armenia
We continue to work with partners in Armenia to further education of family doctors and family medicine trainees. Our partners are the Children of Armenia Fund, The Family Medicine Academic Society and the Association of Armenian Young Doctors.
In September 2017, members of AMA-GB and British Armenian Lawyers Association (BALA) met together for the first time. We toured and sampled wines at Denby's Vineyard in Surrey. For some AMA members this was their first time to meet others in the organisation. New friendships were made and we hope to see more of you all in 2018.
Ms Miriam Manook, renal transplant surgeon at Guy's teaching hospital in London and her colleague Professor Nizam Mamode visited Armenia to exchange views and knowledge with local surgeons and kidney specialists. Read her full story here.
