No Let Up In The Shelling, No Time To Slacken On Giving

During the four terrible days of fierce fighting on the line of contact in Artaskh, a group of young people, on their own initiative started a collection to provide for immediate parcels of daily items for the soldiers on the Northern front. In three days they had collected sufficient funds to purchase and package sufficient goods for three hundred soldiers. The packages were sent off in lorries driven by volunteers, the funds collected paid for the petrol. We did our minuscule bit initially then Rima had an idea to contact friends in London for help, within two weeks £1330 were raised and a friend traveling to Yerevan delivered the money which has was transferred to the group for further supplies. This time probably for the volunteer forces and children of families that have been displaced when their villages were targeted by the Azeri artillery and entire villages destroyed. Intermittent exchange of fire continues, mainly at night. The Azeri side has refused to be bound by the terms of the announced ceasefire and have stayed on in their forward positions on the line of contact. It appears to be their aim to grind down our forces and waste ammunition, perhaps in preparation of a very large attack on many fronts. Please be on guard and keep up with the news.
